The movie Lal Salaam is about a village, its people, and the connection between Hindus and Muslims. Rajinikanth delivers a powerful performance. Regardless of their talent, aspiring cricketers are unfairly thrown off the squad. They must face and overcome this setback to attain their goals.
Rajinikanth plays the dual roles of a father with ambitions for his son and a community leader who thinks that all people are equal, regardless of religion or caste. He is methodical in his moves, and the battle scenes are not over the top.
The first half is excessively dragged out and uninteresting, with frequent and unneeded flashbacks.
An excellent film about religion. All of the actors delivered outstanding performances, and Aishwarya Rajinikanth's direction was superb. Proud to be a Thalaivaa fan, and I hope this humanitarian message reaches everyone.
